Brice Turang and the Milwaukee Brewers have beaten the 2018 MLB Draft signing deadline by a whole day!

Turang’s signing bonus has yet to be reported, but the high school prepster posted a picture of his signing.

Brew Crew Ball confirmed that Turang signed his contract in Arizona. This means that the former prep star will likely begin his professional career with the Arizona Brewers alongside the Brewers’ other top picks Joe Gray and Micah Bello.

Turang is a highly regarded shortstop prospect who was a top five projection at the start of this season. Brice had a fine season but didn’t show great improvement, causing him to drop to the Brewers at pick 21. He doesn’t project as a power hitter but has solid hit skills, good speed, and is a good defender. Brice is 6’, 161 lbs, and will be 19 in November.

This very likely concludes the significant signings out of this draft. Of course, the next Nate Orf is probably out there...
