The Milwaukee Brewers have optioned struggling reliever Corey Knebel to AAA Colorado Springs Sky Sox and optioned starter Zach Davies to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Knebel has had an awful August, accumulating an 8.64 ERA in his 8.1 innings over 9 games. Davies has been at a rehab assignment over the last few weeks but has found little success this far. No announcement yet about the corresponding move, although McCalvy speculated that it could be Joakim Soria coming off the DL.
