The Milwaukee Brewers announced that they have DFAd RHP Aaron Brooks and RHP Jake Thompson to make room on the 40-man roster for Gio Gonzalez and Curtis Granderson. Brooks has been on the 40-man for... *checks watch* one day. He was just added to bring pitching support up to the big league roster after a round of extra inning games and short starts from the starters. He didn't throw during his two games on the roster. Milwaukee traded for Thompson on August 14, sending money to the Philadelphia Phillies. He has made a few appearances at AAA since being acquired.
