Forget defense, hit dingers.

Basically, that’s the mantra that the Milwaukee Brewers have adopted for the second half of the 2018 season. The playoff contending team needed some offensive help at the trade deadline, and GM Slingin’ David Stearns went out and acquired a couple of big bats for Craig Counsell to deploy in his lineup. With Mike Moustakas and Jonathan Schoop in the fold, there will be days where the infield lines up as:

1B Jesus Aguilar (6’3”, 250 lb.)
2B Travis Shaw (6’4”, 230 lb.)
SS Jonathan Schoop (6’1”, 225 lb.)
3B Mike Moustakas (6’0”, 225 lb.)

That’s nearly 1,000 pounds of baseball player right there! On the first day this lineup debuted, Shaw quipped:

And now thanks to the folks over at Breaking T, you can support the Cream City Nine and their “Big Boy Infield”!

As Shaw said, “We call that our goal-line package. It’s the BIG BOY INFIELD.”
