Game Thread #137: Milwaukee Brewers (76-60) @ Washington Nationals (67-68)

Let’s Go Crew!

MLB: Milwaukee Brewers at Washington Nationals
Slingin’ in the rain!
Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Got home from the Badger game about twenty after midnight last night and watched the Brewer game...I question my own sanity. Anyhoo, the Milwaukee Brewers (76-60) go for another series win, this time against the Washington Nationals (67-68) in D.C. Looks like a night free of rain is likely.

This is dangerous...I’m starting to look up in the standings rather than down. You know what? If the Brewers get hot and catch the Cubs they’ll most likely end up with the best record in the NL.

The Brewers didn’t hit a lot yesterday...but with three big flies in six hits it was enough. The whole game was a tightrope and cause for heartburn, so what else in new? It’s Chase Anderson (9-7, 4.04) vs the Nats’ Stephen Strasburg (7-7, 4.15). I don’t care what the stats say...I expect Strasburg to be very tough.

If the Nationals had joined the other league would they have been the Americans?
