Guess Yeli’s season won’t end with a World Series Championship after all...

Recognition and accolades continue to roll in for Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich. He has been announced as a participant in the upcoming MLB All Star Series, as reported by Adam McCalvy of MLB.com:

Yelich currently leads the NL in batting at .316, and his OPS of .938 ranks third. He has 28 homers, ranks second in runs scored (98), tenth in RBIs (86), and ranks first in offensive WAR at 5.2.

The series will run from November 8th through the 15th, and with the World Series scheduled to end in early November, Yelich won’t have much rest before heading to The Land of the Rising Sun.

A sidenote: Don Mattingly will be the squad’s manager. I wonder if they’ll use an “opener” rather than starters.
