Game Thread #155: Milwaukee Brewers (88-66) @ Pittsburgh Pirates (77-75)

Can the Brewers actually get a series win in Pittsburgh???

MLB: Milwaukee Brewers at Pittsburgh Pirates Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Brewers (88-66) took the first game of the three game set last weekend at Miller Park against the Pittsburgh Pirates (77-75), but the Bucs’ pitching shut down the Milwaukee offense to take the last two. The Crew looks to reverse that tonight at PNC Park, as things get down to the nub in the Championship Season. The Cards walked off the Giants in 10 innings earlier, so they keep up the pressure and are 2.5 games back.

Zach Davies (2-6, 4.60) and Trevor Williams (13-9, 3.16) look to reduce the long balls surrendered by both teams tonight for the Brewers and Pirates respectively, after a combined six last night.

I have a new goal: if the Brewers win out they will match their highest win total in their history.
