Game Thread #159: Milwaukee Brewers (91-67) @ St. Louis Cardinals (87-71)

The Brewers can put the Cards in their rear view mirror tonight (at least for the 2018 regular season)

It kinda felt like it was asking too much to hope for a sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals (87-71) coming into this second to last series of the season, but the Milwaukee Brewers (91-67) are RIGHT THERE, so I guess they Crew might just as well go out and get it.

Jhoulys Chacin (14-8, 3.61) looks to get 15 outs without allowing any pesky runs, maybe more, if he’s so inclined. The Milwaukee offense hopes to stay hot against John Gant (7-6, 3.53), and let’s hope the Pirates stay hot in Chicago while we’re at it.

Do you know what? If the Brewers win tonight, the Crew clinches a playoff spot. I’d be OK with that, but it just doesn’t feel like enough at this point. Best record in the NL, baby.
