Here we go! Meaningful baseball in September, and it isn’t just all about maybe catching the Cubs. Then Milwaukee Brewers (77-61) need to keep winning to fend off the Cardinals and the rest of that riffraff. The Chicago Cubs (81-55) are looking to continue their dominance of the Brewers and solidify their position atop the NL.
Deadline acquisition Cole Hamels (9-9, 3.70) has been masterful for the Cubbies, while Zach Davies (2-5), 5.23) has been AWOL for quite a long time...well, actually, it was WITH leave.
Three games to perhaps determine where the Crew’s focus will be for the rest of the season.
