The Milwaukee Brewers want to bring both Yasmani Grandal and Mike Moustakas back AND add a starting pitcher according to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman.
Brewers want to re-sign Yasmani Grandal and Mike Moustakas, and will look again at the starting pitching market.

Of course, we all know that Yaz and Moose didn’t pick up their mutual options and became free agents. They’ll look to at least lock down multi-year deals on the market, if not increase their average annual value.
On the other side of that note, the Brewers have been connected to free agent starting pitchers on the market for who knows how long. Unfortunately, the only significant addition David Stearns has made on the market was Jhoulys Chacin or Wade Miley on a minor league deal. Impact starters are definitely out there this season, it will be interesting to see which pitchers he’s able to bring in. It might just come down to retaining Jordan Lyles and Gio Gonzalez.
