MiLB.com ranks the Brewers’ farm system 15th in baseball

Milwaukee barely makes it into the top half of baseball

MiLB.com has put the Milwaukee Brewers’ farm system in the top-half of baseball, but just barely.

According to the website, the Crew have the 15th-best pipeline of its competing MLB teams. A lot of this ranking is carried by super prospect Keston Hiura. Still, MiLB.com takes time to see the benefits that are happening throughout the farm system.

The site points out that Ray and Dubon are right beside Hiura as players who can have a great impact on the 2019 Brewers. It also takes a moment to mention the lower-tier prospects like Tristen Lutz, who has terrific power; Brice Turang, a defensive shortstop prodigy; and Joe Gray, yet another power outfielder who could also be a defensive asset.

Despite the farm’s thinning over the last year through major trades and promotions, MiLB.com certainly sees the system as something that can consistently produce solid talent for the Cream City Nine, even if it’s not a wealth of potential superstars like other MLB teams.
