Spring Training Game Thread #5: Cleveland Indians @ Milwaukee Brewers

Jhoulys Chacin will take the ball for the first time this Spring

MLB: Milwaukee Brewers-Workouts Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Brewers have started the Cactus League season 1-3. Because of this slow start, questions abound. Is it time to panic? Will Chase Anderson give up 30 home runs again? Will the Brewers relinquish the Cactus League crown to a more undeserving team? While some teacher in middle school once told me there are no stupid questions, life experience has taught me otherwise. (And don’t give up 30 home runs this year Chase) Now to more important things!

The Brewers are playing baseball today. The ace for the Brew Crew last year will take the mound for the first time. Rumor is that Jhoulys Chacin is working on adding a change up to his repertoire, so we’ll probably see that pitch a few times today. Eric Kratz hits clean up today. Keston Hiura and Corey Ray will hit back to back in the lineup.

On the other side, Shane Bieber will toe the rubber to start the game. Cleveland will send out a team of baseball players, some of which you may or may not recognize. To see their lineup, go here.

Not a lot of marquee names in this one, but seeing Hiura, Ray, and Jacob Nottingham in the same lineup offers a glimpse of the Brewers future. First pitch comes at 2:05 CST. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Wisconsin.
