Following the game today, the Brewers had a couple of injury updates on a few of their injured players. First, there was an update on Jimmy Nelson:

Nelson had been shut down last week after tweaking his arm slightly. It was completely unrelated to the shoulder injury that cost him all of 2018. The Brewers decided to hold him out of workouts for a few days as a precaution, and everything appears to be fine now. He’s close to facing live batters again, and then should be back to playing in games soon after. He still hopes to make the team out of spring training, though whether that’s possible or not will depend on how he builds up his strength through spring.

There was one other injury that happened today, as Bobby Wahl ended up leaving the game. After allowing a sacrifice fly to Mitch Haniger, he limped off the field with what appeared to be a leg injury. After the game, Adam McCalvy had an update on Wahl:

We’ll have to wait for more details on the injury to Wahl, but the fact that he needs a MRI is not a good sign. Wahl is trying to make the team in the bullpen out of spring, and any injury that keeps him out for a significant amount of time will hurt his chances quite a bit.

EDIT: One additional update to report.

Mauricio Dubon was hospitalized earlier this week with an injury. He was kept in the hospital for a few days as a precaution, but should be back out now. It will still be some time before he’s back to full strength though, as he lost some weight and just started eating again. He will need some time in camp to regain his strength and it will be a while before he’s in a spring training game again.
