SB Nation FanPulse: Milwaukee Brewers fans overwhelmingly approve of Craig Counsell

You voted, here are the results!

Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Brewers fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

The FanPulse questions for week one all revolved around the approval for each team’s manager. Here is how you Brewers fans voted regarding your feelings on Craig Counsell:

Craig Counsell took over as the manager in Milwaukee in May of 2015 and has since established himself as one of the best and most well-respected skippers in the game. He now has two winning seasons under his belt and an overall winning record of 316-308. Last year he piloted the Brew Crew to 96 wins, their first division title in seven seasons, and a seven-game series in the NLCS that stands as Milwaukee’s deepest playoff run since the club went to the World Series in 1982.

Counsell is constantly praised by his players for his leadership ability, the way he teaches the game, and how he relays the information from the front office in an understandable way that the team rallies around. He has finished fourth and second in the writer’s voting for Manager of the Year the past two years, while he’s been named by Sporting News as the league’s Manager of the Year in 2017 and 2018 (tied) according to SN’s polling of Counsell’s managerial peers around the game.

The players think he’s great, and his rival managers think he’s great. So of course the fans think Craig Counsell is great too.
