In Jhoulys Chacin’s last start, he was scheduled to go just one inning. He efficiently set down Cleveland’s first three hitters with five pitches. Chacin will make his second start of the spring against the Arizona Diamondbacks. According to Brewers’ manager Craig Counsell, Chacin is the only pitcher assured of a spot in the rotation. Counsell’s confidence in Chacin was obvious as the Brewers made their playoff run in 2018 and continues as we enter the 2019 season.

Milwaukee will send out a lineup headlined by Christian Yelich and Travis Shaw. Keston Hiura will get another start at second base. Ben Gamel will patrol centerfield as he continues to demonstrate excellent defensive skills that don’t seem to show in his defensive analytics.

Flame throwing left hander, Robbie Ray will toe the rubber for the opposition. Arizona’s lineup will be made up of players who convey identity via Twitter handle as opposed to birth names, with Alex Avila the exception.

The game will be played at American Family Fields of Phoenix in Maryvale, Arizona. First pitch is scheduled at 2:05 P.M. and can be seen on Fox Sports Wisconsin and heard on WTMJ.
