Travis Shaw is nearing his return from the injured list, and expects to start a minor league rehab assignment on Wednesday with Triple-A San Antonio. Shaw originally went on the IL on May 14, so the earliest he could be activated is Friday. However, it appears that he will remain on rehab through Sunday at least, before the Brewers will make a decision. Meanwhile, Keston Hiura has started every game since coming up to the majors, batting .250/.333/.375 in 24 PA. The one concern for Hiura may be his strikeout rate, as he has struck out 8 times in those 24 PA. Once Shaw returns, the Brewers will have to decide if Hiura will return to Triple-A, if both will stick with the team for a while and another player will go down, or if Shaw would be optioned instead.
