Injured Brewers catcher Manny Pina to begin rehab assignment on Tuesday

Milwaukee catcher Manny Pina went on the Injured List back on May 16th with a hamstring issue, but he's now healthy enough to begin a rehab assignment before returning to the Brewers. The backup catcher will join the Class A Timber Rattlers in Appleton on Tuesday for a four-game stint in the Midwest League. Pina is batting merely .133/.220/.244 in 50 PA's of part-time action this year, though he still provides a lot defensively and with the pitching staff. Yasmani Grandal has started every game in Pina's abscence, Jacob Nottingham has logged only four plate appearances as the #2 catcher, but has two hits, including his first career MLB home run.
