Milwaukee Brewers expected to sign #13 International Free Agent, according to MLB Pipeline

MLB Pipeline is listing the Milwaukee Brewers as the favorite to sign soon-to-be International Free Agent outfielder Luis Medina.

Medina gets a lot of praise from the scouting sources made available to us ahead of International Free Agency. His current skill set shows 5-tool projection, although some believe that as he gets stronger and bigger, his speed will dip below average. If it doesn’t he could be a offensive threat in center field at maturity.

MLB Pipeline lauds the Venezuelan prospect’s bat, calling his swing “majestic.” There’s easy plus power projections in his swing and he already shows a knack for hitting to every field.

Between Baseball America and MLB Pipeline, Medina is the Brewers’ only significant potential International Free Agent signing for the time being. Last year, the Crew ended up signing 48 free agents overall. Three of them were considered to be among the top ranked talents in the international J2 class, with two of them — Eduarqui Fernandez and Eduardo Garcia — already in Pipeline’s top-30 Brewers prospects.
