With names like the Biloxi Shuckers and the Rocky Mountain Vibes already in the organization, maybe the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are feeling a little left out.
Not to be outdone by any of the other crazy minor league baseball team names out there, the T-Rats are milking the trend for all it’s worth, becoming the Wisconsin Udder Tuggers for one night only later this month.
INTRODUCING: The Wisconsin Udder Tuggers— Timber Rattlers (@TimberRattlers) June 3, 2019
The team will be changing their name and wearing this udderly amazing uniform on Salute to Cows Night - June 20th! #TRatNation #SaluteToCows #UdderTuggers pic.twitter.com/oQH7TbuQeq
With the, uh, demonstrative name, the Brewers’ Class-A affiliate will truly become a farm team.
The uniforms and cap bill will feature cow spots, with an “America’s Dairyland” patch.
All cheesy and udderly ridiculous puns aside, it’s a pretty nice nod to the state’s dairy industry — which is struggling mightily in recent years — during June Dairy Month.
You can also buy shirts and hats with the logo and temporary team name. Now if you excuse me, I’ll be getting my farmer dad an “Udder Tugger” t-shirt for Father’s Day.
