It looks like Jimmy Nelson will be throwing again very soon.
He is scheduled to start his rehab assignment on Sunday with the Class A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. If Nelson pitches for the Brewers again this season, it looks as if it will be as a reliever.
Jimmy Nelson is close to pitching again. He’ll throw a ‘pen tomorrow, then pitch for the @TimberRattlers on Sunday.

Nelson’s journey back from injury has been an arduous one. His initial comeback attempt was not met with good results as he pitched to a 8.36 ERA and a 6.14 FIP. Eventually he went on the injured list with fluid in his elbow. Hopefully getting the elbow right and pitching in the bullpen will lead to a great comeback story.
