The struggles of Corbin Burnes have gotten to the point that he’s been demoted from Triple-A San Antonio to Double-A Biloxi. The obvious hope was that he would find his way with the Missions. Unfortunately for this talented pitcher, that has not been the case.
#Brewers transfer Corbin Burnes from AAA San Antonio to AA Biloxi, hopefully part of the continued plan for better results from the talented RHP https://t.co/GbgF2RjAKz

In his last appearance with San Antonio, he gave up 9 runs over just 2.2 innings. The story this season has been one step forward, two steps back. Hopefully getting out of the hitter friendly Pacific Coast League will help him get back on track.
Corbin Burnes with San Antonio tonight: 2.2 IP, 9 H, 9 ER, BB, K. Only one HR.

After a fantastic 2018 season in the Brewers’ bullpen, expectations and optimism were high as the former Brewers’ Minor League Pitcher of the Year took one of the rotation spots to begin the season. From that point on things have gone wrong and more wrong as the season proceeded across the majors and Triple-A. Add Double-A as one of the levels, Burnes will pitch at in 2019. Who would have thought that this would be the outcome prior to the season starting?
