In Maryvale, Arizona, the quest for the Cactus Cup will begin on February 12th, 2020. That is the day that pitchers and catchers for the Milwaukee Brewers are scheduled to report to American Family Fields of Phoenix and begin preparations for the Cactus League exhibition schedule, and of course the 2020 regular season after that.
The Brewers should have the full squad all reported by February 17th, with organized full-team workouts beginning the following day. The Brewers will open their Cactus League slate on the road in Surprise, Arizona, visiting the Texas Rangers. That will be the beginning of a 32-game schedule touring the Arizona spring circuit, including three split-squad days.
As they have often done in recent seasons, the Brewers will wrap up Spring Training by playing a pair of exhibition games before the start of the regular season. This past spring, the Cream City Nine traveled to Montreal for a pair of games against the Blue Jays, but in 2020 they’ll be hosting a couple of preseason contests at Miller Park against the Kansas City Royals.
The regular season for the Milwaukee Brewers then begins on March 26th, 2020, as they’ll square off against the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park.
