Another day and another move by the Milwaukee Brewers. This time it is out of the necessity as Jeremy Jeffress is being placed on the 10-day IL. The injury is a strained left hip, which might be reason for his recent lack of performance. Since July 22, Jeffress has given up 13 earned runs, has stuck out opposing batters at a clip of 5.84 K/9, and has posted a 9.49 ERA. Something is definitely wrong, so the IL stint, whether legitimate or not, will hopefully help Jeffress for the stretch run.

To replace Jeffress, the Brewers are recalling Ray Black from San Antonio. During his time in San Antonio, Black has pitched to a 1.50 ERA and has a 13.50 K/9. In four appearances in the majors this season, Black has posted a 6.23 ERA with 10.38 K/9.
