The magic number is one. If the Cubs and the Mets both lose, or better yet, if the Brewers win tonight, Milwaukee makes the playoffs for the second consecutive year. That has not happened since 1981 and 1982. If that is to happen, the Brewers will have to win their second straight road game against the pesky Cincinnati Reds in Great American Ball Park.
