The offseason is starting to wind down, and now it’s time to focus on what really matters: the Brewers’ pursuit to recapture the prestigious Cactus Cup.

David Stearns has assembled a deep roster built to last a grueling month under the unforgiving March Arizona sun, and now we know the Brewers’ path to the crown, with the team releasing its Spring Training schedule.

The Brewers will start their spring slate against the Texas Rangers on February 22nd. Their first home contest at their facility in Don’t Call It Maryvale the next afternoon against Trent Grisham and the San Diego Padres.

Cactus League play will conclude on March 22nd against the Chicago Cubs, less than a week before the Cubs and Brewers face eachother on Opening Day at Miller Park. In between, the Brewers will welcome Kansas City to Milwaukee for the final two exhibition contests before the regular season begins. Luckily, Ryan Braun won’t have to try to find his passport for those games.

We should find out in the coming weeks which spring games will be televised.

In the meantime, we’re less than a month away from pitchers and catchers reporting on February 12th. Position players have until February 17th to report before the first full-squad workout on the 18th.
