San Diego Padres v New York Mets

The minor league affiliates for the Milwaukee Brewers have announced their coaching staffs for the upcoming 2020 season:

Rick Sweet will return for his seventh season as Milwaukee’s Triple-A manager and his second with San Antonio. He’ll be rejoined by Al LeBouf and Ned Yost IV, and his pitching coach will be former closer Jim Henderson, who spent last season with Class A Wisconsin.

Mike Guerrero will enter his fourth season as the manager for the Double-A Shuckers, and alongside him will be hitting coach Chuckie Caulfield, Fred Dabney as pitching coach (after several years in Triple-A), and bench coach Nestor Corredor (who spent a decade managing in rookie ball).

The Class A-Advanced Mudcats will once again be piloted by Joe Ayrault, but an all-new coaching staff will be assisting him.

In Appleton, Matt Erickson returns for a record 10th season as manager of the Timber Rattlers. Dave Joppie is back for another year as the hitting coach and will be joined by new pitching coach Carson Cross and bullpen coach (and former prospect) Jorge Ortega.

The advanced rookie level Rocky Mountain Vibes (in Colorado Springs) will have an all-new field staff this year:

The Arizona League teams don’t have their own accounts, but via the Journal Sentinel, the AZL Brewers Blue will be led once again by Rafael Neda alongside hitting coach Brenton Del Chiaro and pitching coach Hiram Burgos. The Brewers Gold will have Nick Stanley as manager, Michel Schlact as pitching coach, and another coach in Brandon Macias. In the Dominican, the DSL Brewers will be managed by Victor Estevez. This summer’s joint-team will apparently be with Toronto Blue Jays instead of the Cleveland Indians as in season’s past, and will be managed by Fidel Piña.

Other roving coaches include field coordinator and catching instructor Charlie Greene, hitting coordinator Ed Lucas, pitching coordinator Cam Castro and his assistant Bryan Leslie, infield coordinator Bob Miscik, outfield and base-running coordinator Quintin Berry, and special assistant/player development Carlos Villanueva.
