Craig Counsell told reporters before Tuesday’s game the Brett Anderson will come off the Injured List and start Friday’s home opener against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Brett Anderson will come off the IL to start for the Brewers on Friday, Craig Counsell said.

Anderson had been placed on the IL due to a blister issue. Although minor, it continues Anderson’s historic injury trend.
The soft-throwing lefty was one of two starting pitching additions the team made in the winter. Last season, he pitched 176 innings with the Oakland Athletics with a 3.89 ERA, 4.6 K/9 and 2.51 BB/9. His three fastballs generally top out in the low 90s but hover in the mid 80s.
There hasn’t been a corresponding move announced for Anderson, although Lindblom came out of Tuesday’s game early due to back cramps. If Lindblom needs some time to heal, he could be sent to the IL to make room for Brett.
