The Milwaukee Brewers appear to be on their way to signing all five of their 2020 draft picks.
Earlier in the day, our Brad Ford spotted a social media post showing first round pick Garrett Mitchell on a flight to Milwaukee, with the presumption being he was coming into town to sign his deal (a summer trip to Milwaukee is always lovely, but it’s a bit of a risky trip for a diabetic in the middle of a pandemic).

A couple hours later, Adam McCalvy reported that the Brewers did indeed have a deal for the UCLA outfielder, for a signing bonus right around slot value.
Hearing the Brewers' deal with Garrett Mitchell is for right around slot, which was $3,242,900. Pending a physical, of course.

With the minor league season officially canceled, we’ll see if the Brewers end up putting Mitchell in their 60-player pool to get some professional playing time this summer like some other teams have done with their top prospects, or if they’ll let him stay home since he’d likely be considered a high-risk player for COVID-19.
Regardless, it’s good to see the Brewers get all of their picks under contract.
