The Milwaukee Bucks refused to take the court for their game five playoff contest against the Orlando Magic, protesting the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha. Afterwards, a wave of cancellations and signs of solidarity follow them through the sports community. The Brewers and the Reds decided to join the protest, taking time to speak with the media about police reform and inequality in the community.
The teams agreed to replace today’s game with a doubleheader tomorrow. The first game gets underway at 4:10 p.m. CDT. Sonny Gray (4-1, 2.21 ERA) will match up against Adrian Houser (1-2, 3.72 ERA) in that contest. Game two will get going shortly after game one ends. The probable starters aren’t currently listed.
