The Brewers announced the additional games and other schedule changes in an official release. St. Louis is also responsible for the Brewers playing a 12:10 p.m. game against the Detroit Tigers on Sept. 9 because the Tigers will play a doubleheader with the Cardinals the following day.
During the next three-game series between the Cardinals and Brewers at Miller Park, the teams will play two doubleheaders. The first will be on Monday, Sept. 14 and the other Wednesday, Sept. 16, with the first games starting at 4:10 p.m. The third doubleheader will be played on Friday, Sept. 25 at Busch Stadium with Milwaukee serving as the home team. The first game will start at 4:15 p.m.
A friendly reminder that doubleheaders will only be 7 innings this season. MLB also announced a roster rule change today that will affect all three match ups. Teams are allowed to carry 29 players on their roster for any doubleheader.
