Playoff Roster? Playoffs? You kidding me?

Once again the Brewers are in pursuit of a playoff spot. Whether they make it or not will come right down to the wire. Some would heed the advice of the saying "don't count your chickens before they hatch", but not me. I choose to count, because how much effort is counting chickens anyway? What am I out if they don't hatch, if the Brewers miss the playoffs? Just some time wasted on thinking about their playoff roster. Well, what else would I be doing now? Working? Parenting? Lol.

So here it goes, 26 players 13 pitchers, 13 hitters according to this link from February.

Position Player Locks (10): Garcia, Yelich, Hiura, Vogelbach, Gyorko, Braun, Urias, Arcia, Narvaez, Nottingham
Position Player Bubble-In (3): Taylor, Sogard, Peterson

Position Player Bubble-out: Pina, Gamel (will they be healthy, even if they are will they kick anyone out)

Pitcher Locks (10): Woodruff, Burnes, Anderson, Houser, Suter, Hader, Williams, Rasmussen, Knebel, Peralta
Pitcher Bubble-In (3): Lindblom, Claudio, Yardley

Pitcher Bubble-Out: Topa, Black, Lauer

Regarding the position players, I put Narvaez and Nottingham in as locks, because I don't think Pina will be catching after recovering from a torn meniscus. If he is healthy enough for the roster, I could see him bumping off Sogard as a pinch hitting option. For Gamel, similarly I am not sure if he will be healthy and even so, not sure he is preferable to Peterson at this point. Typing this out, perhaps I should move Taylor into lock status, as I don't really see a way for Gamel or Pina to bounce him from the roster. But it feels odd to make him a lock.

With the pitchers, it is easy. The three man rotation will be Woodruff, Burnes and Anderson. Houser is good enough to be moved to the bullpen and then all the good relievers are locks. That leaves three spots. The situational utility of Claudio and Yardley out-weigh the velocity of Topa and Black, for me. Lindblom is a tough one. I think he is the fourth starter in a five game series, but in a three game series I am not sure if he is useful in the bullpen. Others may prefer Houser to Lindblom in the five game series, so he may not be a starter at all in the playoffs. Therefore he isn't a lock, but I think he will make the roster.

Those are the 26 I would choose. Any other opinions?
