Fastball Freddy isn’t giving up his roster spot because he is hurt or a lack of performance. In fact, he owns a 3.29 ERA this season across 27.1 innings pitched, with a 44:11 K/BB ratio contributing to an even better 1.97 FIP.
Evidently, the right-hander is welcoming a child into the world. Freddy Peralta is headed to the paternity list giving Lauer another possible go at major league hitters in 2020. The southpaw has largely struggled during his first season in Milwaukee, allowing 13 earned runs in 9.1 innings.
Congratulations to Freddy Peralta!
