Back in June, while the baseball season was shut down, reports came out that a man broke into Miller Park and caused damage to the field. We didn't get much for details at the time, but as the case has gone to trial, more details are coming out. James Dator of SB Nation has the details on the case, noting that the man's plan was to break into the park and use a tractor to write his name on the field in cursive. It's an ambitious plan, but as you can see in the video released with surveillance footage, it didn't go too well. He eventually gave up and left, but the damage he did to the field was estimated at $40,000.
