After a tough loss Saturday night that saw Josh Hader give up his first hits of the season and Cleveland walk off with a win, the Brewers hope to steal their weekend series against one of the leading contenders for the AL Cy Young award during this shortened season.
Shane Bieber leads the AL in wins, ERA, strikeouts, strikeouts per 9 innings, FIP and ERA+. He’s struck out 10+ batters in 5 of his 8 starts so far this year, and the lowest amount he’s struck out in an outing is 8.
That’s a very different style than Brett Anderson, who the Brewers will send out today.
First pitch is at just after noon at 12:10 p.m. CDT.
This afternoon’s #Brewers lineup against the Indians at 12:10 p.m. CT.
