As the Brewers are set to open a full 2021 season, the Brewers are hoping to make a playoff appearance for the fourth straight season. Despite the playoff appearance, the Brewers did have a losing record in 2020 at 29-31. Extended out to a 162 game season, that would have been a 78-84 record. It broke a streak of three straight seasons with a winning record, where the Brewers had 86, 96, and 89 wins. Can the Brewers get back on track with a winning record in 2021?
Here’s what some predictions around the web say:
- PECOTA: 89-73, 1st in NL Central (55% to win division)
- FiveThirtyEight: 85-77, 1st in NL Central (44% to make playoffs, 34% to win division)
- Sports Illustrated: 84-78, 2nd in NL Central (miss playoffs)
- USA Today: 83-79, 2nd in NL Central (miss playoffs)
- FanGraphs: 81-81, 1st in NL Central
- Caesars Sportbook: 84.5 Wins Over/Under
After looking at some of those predictions, what do you think the Brewers final win total will be? Will they top their 2020 performance and compete for the division? Vote in the poll below.
