With rain in the forecast for tonight, the game between the Brewers and Nationals in Washington D.C. has officially been postponed. It was also announced that the game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader tomorrow, with Game 1 set for 1:05 PM CDT and Game 2 at 6:15 PM CDT. Craig Counsell also announced that it will be Brett Anderson and Freddy Peralta scheduled to start, though the order is still TBD. However, per Tom Haudricourt, tomorrow’s games could also be in doubt with more rain in the forecast.

Should the weather hold up and be good enough to play tomorrow, Adam McCalvy has some reminders on how doubleheaders will work. First of all, each team is allowed to call up an extra player for the day, though teams are still limited to 26 players active in each game. Usually, teams will get around this by having the starting pitcher active for only their game in the doubleheader. Also, these will be seven-inning games instead of the traditional nine innings.

Hopefully the weather will improve for tomorrow and we will have our first doubleheader of the season.
