The Milwaukee Brewers went for their 11th win a row against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and they got. At the end of the day, Omar Narvaez had 5 hits, Avisail Garcia had 5 RBI, Jace Peterson had 4, Eric Lauer was solid, and Christian Yelich barely saw a good pitch to hit as he walked 3 times. By the end of contest, the Brewers took down the Pirates 11-2 and secured that 11th victory in a row.

The Brew Crew got things rolling early. With one out in the top of the first Pirates’ starter, Cody Ponce, walked Christian Yelich. With two outs in the inning, Omar Narvaez singled. Avisail Garcia followed with a double that plated both Yelich and Narvaez.

Milwaukee added on in the top of the second. With two outs, Christian Yelich smacked a ground rule double. That was followed with a walk to Willy Adames. Omar Narvaez plated Yelich by singling via a pop up that was lost in the sun by Pirates players in the vicinity. Adames would also come into score when Avi Garcia singled to right.
Eric Lauer was really solid this afternoon. He did give up a run, however. In the bottom of the second, old friend, Ben Gamel, scored when Jared Olivia singled. Lauer got through 6.1 innings. He struck out 4 while giving up just the 1 run.
The Brew Crew got back to scoring runs in the top of the sixth. Christian Yelich, continuing to take what he is given, walked to lead off the inning. Later in the inning, Yelich would scamper to third on a Narvaez single. Continuing to swing a hot bat, Jace Peterson connected with an RBI single that scored Yelich and sent Narvaez to third. Narvaez scored on a wild pitch by Pirates’ reliever, Chris Stratton. The question at this point, would the Brewers stop scoring to make it 7 runs three nights in a row, or would there be more?
Well, the Brewers wanted to score more. In the top of the first, Willy Adames led the inning off with a double. That was followed by a single on Omar Narvaez’ fifth hit of the day that sent Adames to third. Adames scored and Avi Garcia reached on a Adam Frazier error. Jace Peterson got his third RBI of the day on a single to right that plated Narvaez.
Pittsburgh got on the board one more time. Ben Gamel got to the Brewers’ pitchers again with a home run. It was his fourth of the year, but that would be it for the Pirates.
It wasn’t it for the Brewers. Tyrone Taylor took over for Christian Yelich in the lineup, and he led off the ninth. He promptly singled. Pinch hitter, Pablo Reyes, followed by drawing a walk. Taylor would come around to score via a double by Avi Garcia. Reyes would also score off a sacrifice fly from Jace Peterson.
The Brewers take on this same Pirates’ team again tomorrow. Freddy Peralta will attempt to lead the Crew to their 12th straight win as he faces off against Tyler Anderson. The game can be seen on Bally Sports Wisconsin, and it can be heard on WTMJ 620 as well as the Brewers Radio Network.
