Corbin Burnes gets the ball in Game 1 of what should be another fun four-game set against the San Francisco Giants.
However, the Brewers may be getting a bit of a break before the first pitch is even thrown. Johnny Cueto, who was supposed to start tonight’s game for the Giants, and Alex Wood are now headed to the Injured List after testing positive for COVID-19.
That means left-handed reliever Jose Alvarez is getting the spot start for the Giants tonight, while tomorrow night’s starter is now TBD.
In good Brewers injury news, Willy Adames appears on track to return at shortstop tomorrow night.
First pitch is set for 8:45 p.m. CDT, so here’s to brewing some night coffee.
Taking on the team with the best record in the NL.
