Tonight was supposed to be the start of a four-game series against the Cubs. However, the weather had different plans for tonight. Storms were set to go through the Chicago area for a while, so the decision was made to postpone tonight’s game. It will be made up as a split doubleheader tomorrow, following the seven inning rule for doubleheaders this season.
The Brewers also announced who their starters will be for tomorrow’s games. Freddy Peralta will remain the starter for Game 1. As for Game 2, the Brewers will recall Aaron Ashby to make the start in that game. Ashby has made one start for the Brewers earlier this season, also against the Cubs, and it was a start to forget and remember. Ashby allowed seven runs (four earned) in just 0.2 innings, putting the Brewers in a 7-0 hole early. However, the Brewers would go on to score 15 runs in that came and win 15-7.
