Brett Anderson was forced to the injured list earlier this month. You might remember that he took a line drive off his left shoulder. Today he was reinstated from the 10-day injured list, and will get the start on the mound tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals. In a corresponding move, Pablo Reyes was option to AAA Nashville.

Prior to being injured, Anderson maintained a consistent presence at the back end of the Brewers’ rotation. Over 21 starts, Anderson has covered a little over 88 innings. No one is going to call him an innings’ eater. But he has made a solid contribution, pitching to a 4.18 ERA.
Pablo Reyes made his own contribution while to the big league club this time around. He covered third base reasonably well and had a big moment when he swam over the tag of Willson Contrares for an important insurance run against the Cubs.
