The results are in. It is very early in camp and the opening day roster is just a snapshot in time, but who makes the opening day roster has ripple effects throughout the season. For many players, they are either with the team out of opening day or they are out of the organization. Without further ado, here are the results:
Starting with the pitchers: every submission voted for Matt Bush and Hoby Milner. They have been added to the lock category for Week 3. If you think they should be cut, let me know in the survey. All but one of the pitchers from last week stayed the same: Peter Strzlecki, Javy Guerra, and Bryse Wilson. The only change was bringing out of options reliever Joel Payamps rather than optionable Jake Cousins. Gus Varland still was sent back to LA.
As for hitters, after missing out by one vote in week 1, Luke Voit has made the roster over Abraham Toro this week. Owen Miller gained momentum, but did not crack the roster. The other three choices were Tyler Naquin, Keston Hiura and Mike Brosseau.
I have opened up the Week 3 Survey here,
https://forms.gle/4ykq3wXUc8Cjirsj9
it will be open until next Monday. If you would like to wait until more Spring Training data comes in, feel free to submit your response later in the week.
The only changes for this week were adding Bush and Milner as Locks and removing Yeager, Robinson, Viera and someone else I can't remember who received zero votes. Here are the complete results. No analysis this week.
