The Milwaukee Brewers welcome the Chicago Cubs to town for the first time in 2024 as Memorial Day Weekend comes to a close. This marks the first appearance for Craig Counsell at American Family Field as the Cubs manager, and he’ll surely receive plenty of boos from the Milwaukee faithful.

On the hill for the Crew is left-handed rookie Robert Gasser, who is coming off the worst start of his young career. While he allowed 10 hits and five runs (four earned) against the Marlins, he still managed to limit hard contact, allowing nine singles and just one double on the day. He’ll face off against another lefty, Justin Steele, who hasn’t looked nearly as good as he did in 2023 when he contended for the NL Cy Young.

William Contreras moves back up to the leadoff spot, followed by Christian Yelich and Willy Adames. Brice Turang bats ninth and Sal Frelick gets the day off. Gary Sanchez is the DH and Jake Bauers starts at first.

First pitch is at 3:10 p.m. on Bally Sports Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network.
