I don't know how many people realize how little teams benefit directly from post season ticket sales, at least if there is a sweep. Check out this article I found on the way playoff revenue is divided up. The players make A TON by making the post season. The owners, not so much in direct revenue unless there is longer series.
Follow the link above to listen to The Pulse Network, where I'll be stopping by Sports Buzz at 10. Then, head over to KTRS (AM 550, St. Louis), where I'll be a guest on the Steve Cochran Show at 11:20.
I'll be taking a break from getting ready for tonight's game to talk to Matt Soldano at 5:15 Central time.
Tonight it's in right field, but he's in the lineup and batting second for the second straight day. Full lineup: Morgan CF Kotsay RF Braun LF Fielder 1B Weeks 2B Hairston 3B Betancourt SS Kottaras C Wolf P
Starting lineups have been posted. I can see why Morgan is not playing with his history vs. Carpenter, but why not put Gomez or anyone with a pulse in center. Also if you have to put Kotsay in, why not move Hairston to the number 2 spot, and put Kotsay batting 6th, 7th, or 8th.
Well, rats.
The link above will take you to The Score. I'll be visiting live on The Home Stretch with Justin Hull at 4. Later, I'll be making my debut on The Appleton Post Crescent's Clubhouse Live, talking Brewers with Brett Christopherson and Mike Woods. Stop by and watch it live at the Clubhouse inside the Radisson Paper Valley hotel in Appleton, or watch online via the link above.
Greinke said a few Cardinals were yelling at him from the dugout while he was pitching, but that it was no big deal. #Brewers
